PUZZLE 138

Puzzle 138 – “A Little Dissonance on the Low End”

puz here / pdf here / solution here

Look, yall, I promise I’m not making a habit of it. But we do have, once again, a themed puzzle with left-right symmetry and a non-standard grid size (though, at 14×15, this one is closer to the norm than some). We’re mixing it up a little. Why not. I promise, back to themelesses sooner than later.

This one feels to me like it’s clued on the gentler side. And I hope it reads to you as having a bit of a punchline, when you combine the title with the way the theme entries work.

As ever, comments welcome, yall. Hope you enjoy. Happy solving, friends.

I enjoyed the puzzle as always, but the clue for 52D seems like the opposite of the answer.

  2. As always, yet another very solid puzzle! TY!
