Puzzle 118 – “Much Ado”
puz here / pdf here / solution here
Solving friends, we’re going for tough but fair with this one. It’s themeless. The seed entries were the odd pair of 1-Across and 57-Across. And there’s an unusual number of question-mark clues here, as I’ve been working on getting better at writing those.
Favorite of those is probably 16-Across. I also like the two long entries that cross in the middle; 13-Down links up with the title. This one also leans a little trivia-heavy too, so I hope you dig it if you dig the fun facts, as I do.
Please, happy solving, yall. Comments are welcome, as ever. Hope you enjoy.
Incredible clueing on 61A
If you know, you know, amirite?
Good one!
Thanks
Glad you’re enjoying, as ever.
Loved the pairing of the clue for 8A (made me go “huh?”) with 46A (made me go “oh hey, i didn’t know that!).
Didn’t know about it myself until I went to clue this one.
This puzzle was as advertised, “tough but fair”. It took me twice as long as my average, but I struggled through and made a clean solve. And I’m still chuckling at the idea of a tank-top being called a wife-beater or Bro-tank, lol!
Glad it proved to be equally tough and fair!
