Puzzle 130 – “Hard to Find?”
puz here / pdf here / solution here
Don’t let the title scare you off here–we’re not talking about difficulty, but where the two spanners intersect literally and conceptually. The title is a hat tip to a favorite story by a favorite writer at 34-Across, and it also describes the quality that’s to be found at 7-Down.
Favorite clue here: 36-Down, no doubt. I like 1-Across for the fun fact too, as well as the nod to a local favorite at 31-Across.
Happy solving, yall. As always, hope you enjoy. Comments welcomed.
TY for another very good puzzle! And I think this is the first time I’ve seen the words “Insidious” and “Cornelius” in a puzzle anywhere!
I think they’ve both showed up before (or so a clue database tells me), but rarely. Thanks for solving, as ever!
Good one! Thanks
31A is one of my absolute favorites
Yep. Haven’t really done a super-local shout-out here in a while. Seemed in order.
