This week on the blog: we’re themeless, and since I gave yall a bit of a workout last week, the cluing difficulty on this one is more on the gentle side. Favorite clue: the mild misdirect at 52-Across.

I ended up in the center north section, so the last clue I looked at was 8-down, which left me with a smile on my face. Fun puzz!

The clue for 18A contained the word “cromulent”, and wiki says it’s a 1996 neologism from “The Simpsons”. Cool word!
Yup, that’s my understanding of its origin too.
