Puzzle 221 – “Shade-y Business”

I get to plug a couple puzzles elsewhere again this week: today I’ve got a mini over at Crossword Flow, for all you iPad solvers. And it’ll be another double-puzzle day this Thursday, as I’ll have a midi over at Puzzmo (a collaboration with Will Eisenberg) as well as my first-ever full-size cryptic crossword over at AVCX Cryptic. If you’re cryptic-curious, I’m told this one plays pretty accessibly.
The blog puzzle this week is themed, and it’s among my favorites I’ve made in the category of “a little NYT-Thursday-style tricksy business going on,” as the title implies. It requires you to consider the revealer at 58-Across and the group of theme entries as a whole, really. Best of luck, yall!

Another clever, fun, clean puzzle. Thanks! Apropos of the puzzle, I unsuccessfully tried pasting in a picture of a car with the following bumper sticker, which I saw a few months ago: IF THIS [red] STICKER IS BLUE, YOU’RE DRIVING TOO FAST!
