PUZZLE 83

Puzzle 83 – “Wickedly Talented”

puz here / pdf here / solution here

About a month ago I posted a themeless here that was a revision of one of the first puzzles I made a good while back–I kept the center stack of entries but improved what was above and below it (at least I hope). Did the same thing here with this one. (And you know what, I’m proud of this grid too, if I may say so. Four spanners along with that center stack!)

Seed entry, as you might guess, was (and remains) 32-Across: one of those silly pop moments that takes on a life of its own and lives rent-free in many of our heads. Not many clever wordplay clues here, but I was pleased to get 33-Down and 43-Down in here.

Revision. It’s a good ethic with which to approach the world, I’ve always felt.

Happy solving, yall. Comments welcomed. Hope you enjoy.

  1. The last two puzzles you’ve made have been absolutely top notch!

  2. Another incredible puzzle! Putting “Adele Dazeem”, the “Zapruder” 8mm film from Dealey Plaza in Dallas (I’ve stood on that grassy knoll, btw), and topping it off with “Mrs Jones” made for another great trip down memory lane!
