PUZZLE 65

Puzzle 65 – “Everything Counts”

puz here / pdf here / solution here

Still been playing around with interlocking long entries, yall, so this time the seed entries were an across/down pair: 23-Across and 24-Down (hence the title).

Favorite clues here: 54-Across and 51-Down for the misdirects, and 35-Across for the way Bierce, possibly the most cynical American writer by a long shot, lends some color to a common entry. Watch for more Devil’s Dictionary clues to come. (And of course, 15-Across because Muppets.)

As always, yall, hope you enjoy. Comments welcome. Happy solving.

  1. Pretty tough puzzle in a few spots, but very fair: I learned that a few games use Dodecahedron dice and that Nee means “no” in several languages.
