Puzzle 232 – “What Do You Consider Fun?”
puz here / pdf here / solution here
Puzzle-making inspiration can show up when you least expect it. Maybe you’re listening to a song you’ve loved for years. Maybe that song is “Genius of Love” (no spoiler in saying so, but spoiler at link). And then the grid-building portion of the brain gets active, and then here we are. (I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out that the link is to the video, which means you get the radio edit of the song… it’s worth checking out the album version, and the Stop Making Sense version, and while you’re at it, “Wordy Rappinghood” too… and then the whole album. You know how it is.)
In other puzzling news, I’ve got a mini over at Crossword Flow today. Check it out, iPad solvers.
As always, hope you enjoy. Comments welcomed. Happy solving, yall.
This is terrific, Matt; such a clever theme. Enjoyed seeing “The Sensual World” referenced; along with “The Kick Inside”, my favorite Kate Bush album. I hadn’t been familiar with Tom Baker (but have never been an aficionado of “Doctor Who”…)
Aww, thanks! I’m not up on all of the Doctors, but I figured, I could pick that one out of a lineup of past Doctors, so it felt fair enough for this puzzle.
good one thanks.
you’re welcome as always.
Another top-notch & enjoyable puzzle. Also, TY for the links to the songs, and for always giving us a background into how you create such good puzzles!
Glad you’re still enjoying. The story pretty much boils down to, “could there be a puzzle in that phrase?”, which is how I find myself thinking often these days…
